Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has described the Mecca Joint Defence Pact between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye as an important message to the Muslim world, saying its positive effects will become visible in the days ahead.
Positive Developments Underway
Speaking at a special programme for young people in Türkiye’s Samsun province on Monday, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the Mecca Joint Defence Pact and the current situation in the region.
Erdogan said Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye had taken an important step together and that positive developments were continuing in this regard.
He expressed confidence that cooperation among the three countries would lead to important developments in the region and said Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye would succeed in their joint efforts, which he expected to become stronger in the future.
A Message to the Muslim World
The Turkish president emphasized the significance of the joint defence agreement reached in Mecca, saying it was not simply a matter of cooperation between three countries but also carried a message for the wider Muslim world.
He said Muslim countries need greater cooperation and unity than ever to address the challenges they face.
According to Erdogan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye moving forward together could strengthen the idea of cooperation and shared responsibility across the Muslim world.
