The True Post (Web Desk): Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp increase on Tuesday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs10,000 per tola, pushing the precious metal to a new record high. The significant jump has drawn the attention of investors, jewelers, and consumers across the country.

Gold Price Jumps by Rs10,000 Per Tola

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of one tola of gold increased by Rs10,000, taking the new market rate to Rs437,936 per tola.

Jewelry traders say the sudden surge could slow buying activity, as many consumers may delay purchases while waiting for prices to stabilize.

10 Grams of Gold Also Become More Expensive

The association reported that the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs8,573, reaching Rs375,459.

The increase reflects the continued volatility in both international and domestic precious metals markets.

What’s Driving the Increase?

Market analysts say several factors are contributing to the rise in gold prices, including:

  • Fluctuations in international gold prices
  • Global economic uncertainty
  • Increased demand for gold as a safe-haven investment
  • Changes in the value of the U.S. dollar

Experts believe that if global gold prices continue to rise, domestic prices in Pakistan could increase further in the coming days.

Buyers Face Higher Costs

The continuous rise in gold prices has created challenges for consumers, particularly families planning weddings and purchasing jewelry.

Meanwhile, investors are closely monitoring market trends as gold remains one of the preferred assets during periods of economic uncertainty.

Financial experts say future price movements will largely depend on global economic conditions, international financial markets, and investor sentiment.
