Shah Rukh Khan Remains India’s Richest Actor Despite Rs 2,490 Crore Decline in Wealth

Date: September 25, 2026 The True Post (Web News) —Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has retained his position as India’s richest actor despite a significant decline in his estimated wealth over the past year.

According to the Hurun India Rich List 2026, Khan’s total wealth is estimated at approximately Rs 10,000 crore, compared with Rs 12,490 crore in the 2025 list.

The latest estimate represents a decline of around Rs 2,490 crore in one year. Despite the reduction, Khan remains at the top of the list of India’s wealthiest actors.

Wealth Falls by Nearly Rs 2,490 Crore

The Hurun figures show that Khan’s estimated wealth declined by roughly 20 per cent compared with the previous year.

The reduction has not changed his position among India’s wealthiest actors, with his estimated assets still substantially higher than those of other leading Bollywood stars.

The figures represent an estimate of overall wealth rather than annual income from films alone.

Business Interests Add to Shah Rukh Khan’s Wealth

Shah Rukh Khan’s financial interests extend beyond his acting career.

A significant part of his business portfolio is associated with Red Chillies Entertainment, the production and entertainment company established by Khan and his family.

The company has produced and been involved in a number of film and entertainment projects in India.

His overall wealth estimate also takes into account his interests in sports and other business ventures.

Investment in Sports

Khan is also associated with the Knight Riders Sports group, which has investments in cricket and other sporting ventures.

The group is best known for its connection with the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise in the Indian Premier League.

These business interests, together with his film earnings, endorsements and other investments, form part of the broader financial picture used in wealth estimates.

Other Actors Behind Shah Rukh Khan

The 2026 Hurun list places several other major Bollywood actors behind Khan in terms of estimated wealth.

Amitabh Bachchan is listed with estimated wealth of about Rs 4,000 crore, followed by Salman Khan with approximately Rs 3,000 crore and Hrithik Roshan with around Rs 2,500 crore.

The figures highlight the considerable gap between Khan’s estimated wealth and that of the other actors included in the ranking.

Wealth Was Higher in 2025

The previous Hurun India Rich List estimated Shah Rukh Khan’s wealth at Rs 12,490 crore.

The latest estimate of Rs 10,000 crore therefore represents a year-on-year decline of approximately Rs 2,490 crore.

Wealth-list estimates can change because of movements in the value of business interests, investments, property and other assets. They do not necessarily represent a direct fall in cash income.

Shah Rukh Khan Working on ‘King’

Khan is currently working on his upcoming film King, which is scheduled for release on December 24, 2026, according to reports.

The film features Shah Rukh Khan alongside Deepika Padukone, his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma and Abhishek Bachchan.

The project is among Khan’s major upcoming releases and has attracted considerable attention because it marks his return to the big screen following his recent run of successful films.

Richest Actor Despite Decline

The latest Hurun estimate shows that Shah Rukh Khan’s wealth has fallen considerably from the previous year, but his position at the top of India’s richest-actor list remains unchanged.

With an estimated wealth of Rs 10,000 crore, Khan continues to have a financial portfolio spanning films, entertainment production, sports and other business interests.

The 2026 figures nevertheless represent a notable change from the Rs 12,490 crore estimate reported a year earlier.
