
The True Post (Web News)The Pakistan High Commission in Canada participated in a special event titled “Pakistan” held at the Senate Chamber of the Parliament of Canada in Ottawa. The event was organized by Senator Salma Ataullah Jan as part of the ongoing Asian Heritage Month celebrations.
The ceremony brought together around 80 distinguished guests, including Canadian senators, members of the House of Commons, diplomats, members of the Pakistani community, and media representatives.
During the event, the High Commission presented multimedia content highlighting Pakistan’s cultural heritage, arts, tourism destinations, adventure sports, and traditional cuisine, which was well received by attendees.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner Muhammad Salim thanked the guests for their participation and congratulated Senator Salma Ataullah Jan for hosting the event at such a prestigious venue.
He also emphasized the strong potential for expanding Pakistan-Canada relations in the fields of trade, investment, economy, and tourism, stating that both countries could benefit from enhanced cooperation.
The High Commissioner further expressed hope that such cultural events would continue to strengthen people-to-people ties and deepen mutual understanding between the two countries.
