The True Post(Web News)Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari issued a stern warning to India over its suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, stressing two possible options: either compliance with the treaty or preparedness for war. He declared, “If they stop the water, we will have to fight a war—and we will win the next war too.”
Addressing the National Assembly, Bilawal highlighted that India’s move to rescind the treaty following the Pahalgam terrorist attack violates international law. Recalling the agreement’s significance, he said Pakistan’s land and its waters belong to its people—and warned that any water blockage would be met with force.
He emphasized: “Now India has just two options: accept the treaty or Pakistan will claim all six rivers.” Bilawal also accused India of trying to brand Pakistan a “terrorist state” to derail its IMF support, but said Pakistan emerged victorious both militarily and diplomatically—including presenting its case at the United Nations.
Turning to regional developments, he strongly condemned the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling them violations of international law based on false allegations. He said the attack endangered lives across the region, meriting condemnation from the UN Security Council.
Bilawal warned that “Israel is pulling the American people into a war they do not support,” and urged a diplomatic resolution, expressing concern that the Gaza, Iraq, and Lebanon crises were being replicated in Iran.
He also declared that the region suffers from a “cheap copy of Netanyahu,” which Pakistan has countered through military readiness, diplomacy, and narrative shaping—crediting divine support for Pakistan’s resilience.
On the Kashmir issue, Bilawal emphasized that it has shifted from an internal matter to an international concern. He recalled that under the PTI government, Pakistan successfully responded to aggression—downing six Indian aircraft—and vowed to continue fighting for Kashmiri justice.
He concluded with a promise that Pakistan will never yield on critical issues of water, regional stability, or Kashmir, and that justice for Kashmir remains a steadfast national priority.
