The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has granted No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to several national and emerging Pakistani cricketers to participate in overseas cricket leagues.
The PCB has issued NOCs to a number of players for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and English county cricket. The permissions have been granted for specific periods, taking into account the players’ league commitments and Pakistan’s national cricket schedule.
Several Players Cleared for Caribbean Premier League
The PCB has issued NOCs to Hasan Nawaz, Hannan Shah, Naseem Shah and Usman Khan to participate in the Caribbean Premier League.
These players have been permitted to take part in the tournament from August 19 to September 21.
During the same period, Muaz Sadaqat, Sahibzada Farhan, Sufiyan Muqeem and Shadab Khan have also been granted permission to participate in the CPL.
The Caribbean Premier League is regarded as one of the prominent T20 competitions in the world and regularly attracts international players. Pakistani cricketers have also participated in the tournament in previous seasons.
Mohammad Haris and Usman Tariq Also Receive NOCs
Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris has received a separate NOC for the Caribbean Premier League.
According to the PCB’s permission, Haris will be allowed to participate in the tournament from August 7 to September 20.
Haris has gained attention in Pakistan’s limited-overs cricket because of his aggressive batting and wicketkeeping abilities. Playing in an overseas T20 league will provide him with an opportunity to gain experience in different conditions and alongside international players.
Mystery spinner Usman Tariq has also been granted an NOC for the CPL. He will be permitted to participate from August 8 to September 18.
Tariq has attracted attention in T20 cricket because of his distinctive spin-bowling style.
Usama Mir Also Cleared for CPL
Pakistan spinner Usama Mir has also received permission to participate in the Caribbean Premier League.
The PCB has granted him an NOC covering the period from August 7 to September 21.
Mir has represented various domestic and overseas T20 teams and has gained recognition for his bowling performances. Playing in Caribbean conditions could provide him with valuable experience that may benefit his future international career.
Noman Ali Receives NOC for English County Cricket
Meanwhile, experienced Pakistan spinner Noman Ali has been granted permission to play English county cricket.
The PCB has issued him an NOC to represent Lancashire County Cricket Club until September 27.
Noman is one of Pakistan’s experienced spin bowlers and has produced notable performances in longer-format cricket. County cricket will give him an opportunity to play on different pitches and in varying weather conditions.
Benefits of Overseas Leagues for Pakistani Players
Participation in overseas leagues can provide Pakistani cricketers with more than financial opportunities. Players can also gain valuable experience by working with international teammates, coaches and different cricketing systems.
