The True Post (Web News) Speaking in the British House of Commons on the situation in Gaza, Minister for the Middle East Hamish Faulkner said that Israel should immediately stop its actions.
Speaking in the British House of Commons, he said that we, together with our partners, called a meeting of the United Nations Security Council to address the unbearable human suffering in Gaza.
He said that Israel’s denial of aid to Gaza is appalling, adding that food is currently rotting on the Gaza border and is unable to reach the hungry people in need.
He said that Israeli ministers have described their decision to withhold this aid as a pressure lever, but this is a cruel and indefensible act.
Hamish Faulkner further said that the world demands that Israel immediately stop its actions and lift the embargo on aid entering Gaza.
He said that we must enable the United Nations and all human rights organizations to immediately save lives, we need an immediate ceasefire, humanitarian aid should never be used as a political weapon or military tactic.
The British Minister for the Middle East further said that the UK will not support any aid mechanism that aims to achieve political or military objectives or that endangers vulnerable civilians.
“Our full focus is on lifting Israeli restrictions on aid, releasing those held hostage by Hamas, protecting civilians, and restoring the ceasefire,” he said.
