1 dead, 2 injured in 2-vehicle collision in Caledonia

The True Post (Web News)One person has died and two others are in hospital after a collision between a vehicle and an SUV in Holmand County on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Argyle Street South near Highway 6 in Caledonia. The Ontario Provincial Police’s Holmand Division, along with the Holmand County Fire Department and EMS, responded to the scene. Police say the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.

They said a passenger in that vehicle was also taken to hospital for treatment of serious, non-life-threatening injuries. In addition, the person driving the SUV suffered serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries. Police. Argyle Street South has been closed at Highway 6 and Sixth Lane for the investigation. OPP Sergeant Ed Sanchuk expressed his condolences to all the family members and friends affected by this tragedy.
