The Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-1 in a National Hockey League (NHL) matchup, ending a run of three consecutive losses.

Eighteen-year-old Gavin McKenna scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period, helping Toronto secure the victory.

McKenna, playing in the 10th game of his NHL career, recorded his first power-play goal, marking an important milestone as the Maple Leafs regained their winning form.

Toronto’s success was also driven by Auston Matthews, who contributed one goal and two assists. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves to help keep the Sharks’ scoring limited to a single goal.

The Maple Leafs scored three times to seal the 3-1 victory, bringing their losing streak to an end and giving the team a boost as the NHL season continues.
