Alanis Morissette’s New Holiday Album
Morissette’s upcoming album, Good Weather for Immaculate Conception, will feature a collection of holiday songs, including new versions of well-known Christmas standards.
The project also includes appearances by several guest artists, including Brandi Carlile, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Amythyst Kiah, Joy Oladokun and Trans Voices.
Among the tracks are John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Happy Xmas (War Is Over) and Joni Mitchell’s well-known song River. The album will also feature familiar seasonal favourites such as Silent Night, Last Christmas and O Holy Night.

The album brings together traditional Christmas music and a range of guest collaborations, offering listeners a different interpretation of familiar holiday songs.
Steven Page Announces Steven’s Greetings
Page’s new album, Steven’s Greetings, will include Christmas music alongside songs associated with other seasonal celebrations.
According to Exclaim!, the tracklist features Christmas in Toronto, a song previously associated with the television series Murdoch Mysteries, and Everyone Can Sing at Christmas, which appeared in connection with Corner Gas.
The album will also include Hanukkah Blessings, Blow Blow Thou Winter Wind, Auld Lang Syne, I Have a Little Dreidel, Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah, Drinking ’Round The Christmas Tree, The Power of Love and Cheese Log.
The publication noted that it was not clear whether all the recordings were newly made or whether some were drawn from previously recorded material.
Page’s album is scheduled for release on November 13, and pre-orders are available through his online store.

Alongside the album announcement, Page has revealed a concert tour supporting Steven’s Greetings, with performances scheduled in Canada and the United States.

Both Albums Arrive Ahead of Christmas
Morissette’s album is due on November 6, followed by Page’s release one week later on November 13. Both projects will be available ahead of the Christmas holiday period.
Holiday albums have long been a familiar part of the music industry’s seasonal calendar. Artists often revisit traditional carols, reinterpret popular festive songs or release original material designed for the holiday season.
Such releases can also introduce classic songs to new audiences through different musical arrangements and collaborations.
Morissette is widely recognised for her contribution to Canadian popular music, while Page is known for his work with Barenaked Ladies and his solo career.
The guest appearances on Morissette’s album and the range of seasonal songs on Page’s release are likely to attract interest from listeners looking for new music for the holidays.
However, the albums’ commercial performance and reception will only become clear after their release.
For now, the November announcements give fans of both artists two new releases to look forward to as the festive music season approaches.
